SCE Registration for Pakistani Engineers: Saudi Process (2026)

SCE Registration for Pakistani Engineers: Saudi Process (2026)

Quick answer: start with SCE professional accreditation

Pakistani engineers planning engineering work in Saudi Arabia should begin with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) professional-accreditation service. The correct category, identity fields, academic evidence, fees, and follow-up requests depend on the applicant profile and the live SCE portal.

Last reviewed: August 04, 2026. This article explains the SCE registration route; it is not a visa approval or legal opinion. Always follow the current instructions shown by SCE and the relevant Saudi and Pakistani authorities.

What SCE registration covers

SCE professional accreditation is separate from visa stamping, medical clearance, employer authorization, and document-attestation steps. The official SCE service currently covers applicants in engineering, engineering-technology, architecture, and architectural-technology categories. Technicians and other classifications use their own service routes, so do not select a category only because it appears in a job title.

SCE registration process for Pakistani engineers

  1. Open the official service: Use the SCE e-services portal and start from Professional Accreditation. Avoid links sent by unverified intermediaries.
  2. Select the correct category and nationality: Read the current category description and enter Pakistani nationality and the identity details requested by the live form. The required identifier can depend on whether the applicant has an Iqama, border number, or another accepted record.
  3. Prepare academic evidence: Keep the engineering degree and complete academic record ready. SCE says the program must be from a recognized institution; the portal may request additional verification or documents for the individual case.
  4. Submit the profile and review requests: Check names, dates, passport details, discipline, and uploaded files before sending. Monitor the SCE account, email, and phone for a clarification or verification request.
  5. Pay only the official invoice: The SCE service page currently lists a non-refundable application fee and annual membership charges. Confirm the amount and payment instructions on the invoice and official service page because fees can change.
  6. Save the decision and membership evidence: Keep the application reference, payment receipt, messages, approval or rejection notice, and any membership certificate/card information. Ask SCE through its official channel if the record or category does not match the employer’s request.

Degree attestation: do not assume one fixed checklist

Earlier online guides often present HEC, Pakistan MOFA, Saudi Cultural Mission, embassy, or PEC documents as a universal sequence. The current SCE guidance and the individual application may require different evidence, including digital verification. Check the live SCE request first, then confirm any Pakistan-side attestation requirement with the responsible authority or employer. For the separate document topic, see the Saudi Embassy degree-attestation checklist.
