Quick answer: check the official OEP directory
Open the official Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment directory, search by agency name or licence number, and compare the returned record with the documents you received.
Last reviewed: August 04, 2026. This guide explains how to verify an OEP record; it is not a job-offer approval, visa guarantee, or legal opinion.
How to verify an OEP licence online
- Open the official BE&OE List of Overseas Employment Promoters.
- Enter the exact agency name or licence number shown on the current documents.
- Compare the licence title, proprietor, status, expiry date, registered office, and any branch information.
- Save a dated copy of the result, then compare the written job demand, contract, fees, and receipts separately.
What the directory check does not prove
A matching directory record does not by itself prove that a particular employer, vacancy, salary, fee, visa, or departure promise is genuine. Pause if material details are unclear and confirm them with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser before paying or submitting original documents.
